NEW YORK - The Postal Service is gearing up for employment another busy holiday season and are looking to fill almost 700 positions in Long Island and Queens. To assist in the application process, Post Offices throughout the area are hosting job fairs.

Positions with immediate availability are city carrier assistant, holiday city carrier assistant, holiday clerk assistant, postal support employee and mail handler assistant.

Work opportunities range from seasonal jobs to positions with possible permanent appointment and a lifelong career.
